How did my anxiety result in a positive outcome?

Recently, I was listening to a song about how trials can be blessings in disguise... I can really relate to this sentiment, and I wanted to share with you some thoughts about this topic today.
I can honestly say that although at first I really struggled to manage my anxiety, it did actually in the end bring about great blessings for me...
If it wasn't for having anxiety I wouldn't have discovered my love of writing, and I wouldn't have found out how I could help others using my writing skills. I was inspired to write my first two books due to my experience of anxiety, and finding ways to manage and cope with it.
My experience of anxiety shaped me into who I am today... It taught me to be more understanding and kind to others whatever they are going through, and how much I needed to shift my focus from focusing on myself to focusing on something far greater. Anxiety taught me to rely and trust in God a lot more, and it taught me that the way through my anxiety was to turn to the Bible. Reciting Bible verses in my head has been and still is, a great comfort and help to me throughout my anxiety journey.
Another big lesson which anxiety taught me was that strength can come from weakness... In 2 Corinthians 12:9, we read that God says "...My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness..." This verse shows us that strength can be developed as a result of first being weak. In the next verse we read - "...for when I am weak, then am I strong." It is at our weakest times when we actually become stronger... For me, when I was at my weakest point with anxiety, that is when my faith became stronger, and I turned to the Bible more for comfort.
Throughout The Bible we see where strength comes from - it comes from turning to God by praying to him and reading his word (The Bible).
In Psalm 119:28 we read: "My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word." Here we see the Psalmist was struggling, but he found strength - encouragement from God's word.
Again in Acts we see that God's word, The Bible, gives us encouragement and strength. In Acts 20:32, the writer of this book says to the followers of Jesus from Ephesus: "And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up..."
So for me, experiencing anxiety has made me stronger. My anxiety experience has allowed me to use a negative situation to positively encourage others, and show them that they can get through anxiety and they are not alone. There are many other anxiety sufferers who can understand and empathize with each others' struggles.
If it wasn't for having anxiety, I wouldn't be where I am today. I wouldn't have been able to help others in the way that I have - using my personal experiences. For me, my anxiety experience has brought great blessings, and has allowed me to turn a negative situation into a positive outcome...
